MARCEL LAWSON is quickly becoming known on the West End club scene as London’s #1 DJ.

With a distinctive open-format style, he was one of the first DJs to effortlessly mix different genres of music into his sets. As a result, he is widely respected by other DJs. It is his distinctiveness that caught the eye of music executives at Sony Music UK and, as a result, Marcel was commissioned to produce their mixtapes. Over 20,000 copies of each mixtape were distributed. It came as no surprise that he would then open shows for major recording artists such as Wyclef Jean, Nas and Destiny’s Child. And this relationship with major artists did not end there; as Marcel went on to do interviews for television and radio, with artists such as Kanye West, Amerie, Akon and Estelle. He has also been a tour DJ for N-Dubz and other artists.


As a DJ/Presenter it was inevitable that Marcel would front shows for BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss 100, Sky, Living and produce mixes for various stations and channels. His talents also found him moving behind the scenes doing production for the BBC News and Music departments, ITV, Channel 4 and others. However, despite his television and radio success, his calling has always been as ‘the DJ’ and Marcel Lawson has now been entertaining events for major brands, smashing clubs all over the world and exciting party-goers for over 10 years, with guests including Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, JLS, Lewis Hamilton, Alesha Dixon, R. Kelly, Labrinth, Lindsay Lohan, Kelis, Pamela Anderson, Sisqo, various Premiership footballers and many more. He also entertains crowds at hotels, private bookings, clubs and headline events across the world including New York, London and Ibiza.
